TERMS AND
CONDITIONS
1. Fee Policies & Procedures

1.1 Fees are strictly payable by the due date unless a prior payment arrangement has been made. Failure to pay may result in the loss of enrolment. A $5 late fee will be applied weekly until paid. If still unpaid at term’s end, an additional $10 late fee applies.

1.2 Unpaid invoices may be referred to a debt collection agency. All recovery costs will be passed on to the enrolment holder.

1.3 Public holidays are observed and accounted for in our yearly fee structure. No make-up classes or refunds are provided for missed public holidays.

1.4 Some classes may be cancelled during exam periods. These times are set externally (by RAD or APDA), not by Geronimo Performing Arts. Where this occurs, students may attend an alternative scheduled class as a make-up.

1.5 Fees must be paid via internet bank transfer or cash. Cheques are not accepted.

1.6 Receipts, if required, will be emailed to the address used at enrolment.

1.7 Enrolments starting mid-term will receive a $10 discount per class missed prior to enrolment.

1.8 Enrolment includes a subscription to our Movitae online platform, which offers class videos and music to support your child’s learning.
2. Refund Policies

2.1 No refunds are given once classes have commenced.

2.2 At the discretion of the Director, a refund may be granted with a $50 cancellation fee.

2.3 Make-up classes may be offered for illness or injury, subject to space availability and must be used within the same term.
3. Uniform Requirements

3.1 Correct dance attire and footwear are required for all classes. No school uniforms or excessive jewellery.

3.2 All students (excluding adults) must wear the Geronimo Performing Arts regulation uniform by the end of their first term. Hair must be tied back neatly.

3.3 Students not properly dressed may be unable to participate due to health and safety standards.
4. Communication

4.1 Parents and students are responsible for checking the noticeboard and joining our Facebook page.

4.2 Regularly checking email updates is essential for staying informed.
5. Health, Safety & Medical

5.1 Geronimo Performing Arts is not liable for personal injury or loss of property.

5.2 All dance activities carry inherent risk. We aim to reduce this through qualified instruction and safe practices.

5.3 Parents/guardians must notify teachers of any injuries or medical concerns before class.

5.4 First aid kits are available, but we do not provide or administer medication.

5.5 Students are supervised during class time only.
6. Attendance

6.1 Regular attendance is essential for progress. Students must arrive on time for a complete warm-up.

6.2 Senior students must attend 80% of classes per term to continue. 90% attendance in Term 4 is required to participate in the end-of-year performance.
7. Exams & Assessments

7.1 Ballet, Jazz, and Tap classes follow recognised syllabi (RAD & APDA).

7.2 Entry into exams is at the sole discretion of the teacher.

7.3 Exam fees are separate from term tuition.
8. Concerts & Costumes

8.1 Participation in the annual concert is encouraged but not mandatory.

8.2 Students involved must attend all rehearsals and performances.

8.3 Backstage assistance is by pre-approval only.

8.4 Costume hire is charged in Term 4.

8.5 All concerts are professionally filmed and photographed.
9. Photography & Video

9.1 Videoing or photography in class or backstage is not permitted except by staff.

9.2 On enrolment, you grant permission for your child to appear in promotional material. Please notify us in writing if you do not consent.
10. Choreography
-
10.1 All choreography remains the intellectual property of Geronimo Performing Arts and our affiliated syllabus providers.
11. Privacy Act

11.1 Your personal information is collected for studio use and will not be shared. You may request to view or correct your details at any time.
12. Dismissal
-
12.1 Geronimo Performing Arts reserves the right to dismiss any student for non-compliance with these terms, property damage, or serious disruption.

12.2 Dismissal decisions are made by the Directors following teacher consultation.

12.3 Refunds after dismissal are at the Director’s discretion.
